The TatrySki project, which in the winter season combines 9 ski resorts in Poland and Slovakia under one ski pass, also has much to offer in the summer. In the area of ski stations Kotelnica Białczańska and Czorsztyn Ski, which for years have belonged to the TatrySki program, a large number of holiday attractions is waiting for visitors.
The biggest ski resort in Podhale, located in Bialka Tatrzanska, has one chairlift taking you to Kotelnica in summer. Here you will find breathtaking views of the Tatras, Gorce, and Pieniny mountains. The beautiful panorama can be admired, i. a. from the observation deck and from the windows of the local tavern located at 917 m above sea-level, while also enjoying the flavors of Podhale cuisine.
Bike tours are a great form of an active holiday leisure. At the top of Kotelnica, there are many cycling routes, including the downhill track "Coaster". On the slopes of the mountain you can also try your hand with offroad scooters - monsterrolers, which can be leased at the foot of Kotelnica.
The youngest guests visiting the station will also find something for them at the top of the Kotelnica. A unique playground was created especially for them - the village of elves. In a wooden town, apart from the houses of elves, there is also a sandpit and a table for playing "tic-tac-toe". A visit to this place will be a great treat for small travelers, while their carers will be able to enjoy the wonderful landscape.
It is also worth mentioning that in July and August at the foot of the Kotelnica there are many entertainments and cultural events within the Bania Culture project. During that time, the Białka scene hosts many excellent artists, whose performances can be enjoyed absolutely free, as the entrance to all events is free. Furthermore, every year Kotelnica Białczańska organizes many amazing mass events. On July 29, 2017 on the slopes of the mountain, amateurs of strong emotions will compete during the Fourth Cross Monster Polish Championship, i.e. races on mountain scooters. On the same day, there will be the Colorful Explosion Festival, where colorful dust will be thrown into the air every half an hour, creating a huge rainbow over the crowd. On the first weekend of August, Kotelnica will host the 21st edition of the Białka Festival - one of the most popular holiday events in Podhale, where people from all over Poland come every year. In addition to the famous elections of Cepr and Ceperka of the Year and Harnasik, artists including Kamil Bednarek, Ania Dąbrowska or the band Piersi will perform in front of a huge audience. At the last holiday weekend, Białka Tatrzanska will turn into the cross-country center. All thanks to the three-day cross-country picnic Goniacka Białka Tatrzańska. Therefore, there will be plenty of emotions. The full schedule of all events is available at www.latowbialce.pl.
In summer, in addition to the Kotelnica railway, there is also a station in Kluszkowce - Czorsztyn-Ski. At Mount Wdżar, the main attraction is the Joy Ride Bike Park, which offers cycling routes of various difficulty, rental of downhill and mountain bikes, service and an extreme cycling course. On the slopes of the mountain there is also a toboggan run - a spinning slide. Exciting downhill runs at 35km/h come complete with unforgettable views and immense emotions.
Visitors to the Czorsztyn-Ski resort in summer can also enjoy the educational path leading through the old quarries. While wandering across the natural-educational route, you can learn the history of this place, local folklore, and the geological structure of the mountain. Passing the whole path will also be a great test of your ability to move in mountanious terrain before heading higher up.
There is not a trace left of the former quarry, but two picturesque gorges still remain. One of them goes along the educational route, while the other one is an ideal place to spend time actively e.g. climbing. In the gorge you can also face the fear of heights, try thedownhill tyrolean, cross the rope bridges, or go down the vertical wall on ropes. All this in exceptional surroundings of the nature.
